Arts Alive!
 (Formerly the 3 bronze medallions - theatre, dance and musicArts Education Grants and Doris Sahr Piano Auditions)
We are pleased to announce that the traditional Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission annual Arts Education Grants and Doris Sahr Piano Grants will be reinvented as "Arts Alive" and will be under the auspices of the non-profit arts support group, Chesapeake Friends of the Arts along with the Fine Arts Commission! Having to cancel these wonderful programs for the past few years was a difficult decision for the Fine Arts Commission (FAC).
With financial and volunteer assistance of the FAC, the Friends of the Arts have agreed to a wonderful collaboration. Due to their dedicated support of the arts, the Friends have agreed to spearhead and streamline this grand opportunity for our talented students.
With the Friends of the Arts the exciting new name, ARTS ALIVE! a tradition will continue with a new format and location through the talents and hard work of the Friends of the Arts in collaboration with the FAC!!!!!
