Arts Alive Participants recognized by Mayor Krasnoff and City Council
|
The Arts Alive! 2012 winners and their families gathered in Mayor Krasnoff's office at 5:45, Tuesday, April 24. but many arrived earlier. Certificates were handed out when Mayor Krasnoff called each name and he said a bit about each winner. The group moved downstairs to City Council chambers.
In City Council chambers, award winners and participants and their families gathered for recognition. Prior to the meeting, the remaining certificates were handed out along with Arts Alive! stickers. Following the approval of City Council minutes, Mayor Krasnoff said a few words and introduced Sylvia Watson, who briefly spoke in chambers and winners again were presented and recognized by City Council.
Following City Council presentation, winning students were handed and signed for their checks. Every one of the students that won thanked us. Some of the students were already planning what to do at next year’s ARTS ALIVE
